As a licensed Associate Broker, I continue with providing the highest quality of professional Real Estate information with over 3 decades of full-time service and experience in Real Estate Sales in the Tri State Area.
My sales experience began selling garden and flower seeds when under 10 years old. Next it led to also mowing yards and working on a self-mix cement truck at 10 and 11 years old, then at 12 years old I started working at Waynesboro Country Club in the pro-shop meeting so many people in Business in Waynesboro till leaving for Electronics Institute in 1980s. That schooling put me in my first full-time job in the field of Digital World in the digitizer board design. During that next year, I took classes for a Real Estate Salesperson license to learn and help some family of the time period.
The next step in life took me to a local business in Waynesboro which placed me in Sales & Service that had me traveling across America and into Canada.
Late in 1988, my first newborn arrived, and my world changed. Having to give notice to my traveling job that my venue had changed and that started the full-time in Real Estate back in 1989 under a local Broker who then retired and sold the Real Estate business to F & M Trust in Chambersburg. During 1990, I took advanced classes and earned my Broker’s license in 1991 and then I opened my own Brokerage, Darwyn Benedict Realty. As a continuation of the business, I bought the RE/MAX Franchise in 1997 and operated till 2022, 31 years of being Broker of Record has given me so many rewards and growth helping people, friends and family with property needs.
Mid 2022 I stepped out of the Corporate Franchise World to start working as an Associate Broker at KANDOR REAL ESTATE, which is my daughter’s company, to continue helping people with all types of Real Estate needs.
The best experience by far is family growth from bachelor to Dad to Grandfather and now with my adult children in this Real Estate business or working locally.
I have served as a member of REALTOR® committees at the local level from Board Member to the President twice in my career; on the State level the committees served are Finance, Legal, Horizon and Forms committee, along with the National level committees of Appraisers and Property Rights committees.
Being a history enthusiast of buildings that housed many businesses over the years; the Waynesboro area has had and still has so many local entrepreneurs that invented so many items that are used Worldwide or in special projects. Just ask me sometime.
